"Wow! This is a meaty, nasty, wilderness eating powerhouse of a Damascus knife. Over a seven inch long blade, sharp out of the box (even the saw teeth). This hunted knife is built to last, as it should be at its $180+ cost. The handle is not a regular handle either it's big and balances out the weight of the blade perfectly. If you enjoy minimalist survival or the outdoors but like to have a tool that feels built for any task you may have for it this is that knife. I have several "survival" knives in my collection, but this is my first apocalypses survival knife."

One thing to remember- this blade is made of many layers of high-carbon steel, which means it’ll hold an edge longer than a stainless blade, but it also means you have to keep the blade well oiled to prevent rust. "I got exactly what was advertised. The knife itself was VERY sharp upon arrival. The sheath alone was worth the price. The stitching and quality on the sheath are top notch. This knife was BIGGER than I was expecting, but that's not a bad thing, as I'm a big guy. The knife itself does jostle a bit inside the sheath a bit, but I don't see that being a problem. I've paid twice as much for Damascus steel knives that were half the quality, and they didn't come with a sheath like this. It's very unique and I can't wait to show it off. Overall I'm very impressed. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time (even though it was "running late" for a day.) It has a bulky, sturdy feel to it. It does not feel cheap. It does not look cheap."
"This is essentially a high fit and finish trench knife made in the United States that costs a lot less than other brands of similar quality because to smart business practices and classic designs.
Its edge holding and sharpness are satisfactory; they outperform several knives I've tested. I am aware that a $400 knife can have more high-quality steel than Damascus, but don't let that deter you. This steel is excellent, and I temper steel for a living. Arsons is aware that the heat treatment and edge grind are just as important as the metal. In addition to having outstanding design and blade toughness, Damascus is still a solid carbon steel at the outset.

"The knife arrived in a lovely gift box, and after using it for a week, I can say that the fit and finish are very good, and the balance and overall quality seem very good as well. "The knife is well balanced, has good weight to it, and although it arrived sharp, I had no issues taking it to a whetstone and making it razor sharp. After a few minutes finishing on the leather strop it was slicing paper better than most of my other knives. I've been whittling with it at night and it goes through the wood like butter.
